Texas-born Aaron Dismuke started with a few small parts (in FRUITS BASKET and KIDDY GRADE), courtesy of his cousin, Funimation ADR director Justin Cook. But it wasn’t long before the budding voice actor showed real talent, and quickly catapulted to a critical leading role in FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST as Alphonse Elric . It’s a feat all the more impressive when you do the math and realize that he was only 11 years old when he started voicing Alphonse, and that he did most of that work while speaking into a big metal bowl. Aaron resumed the role for the movie FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: CONQUEROR OF SHAMBALLA, as well as several video games based on the series. Aaron (now 18 years old) can also be heard as Ion Fortuna in TRINITY BLOOD, young Ginko in MUSHI-SHI and Yasuchika in OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB. Most recently, Aaron joined FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST- BROTHERHOOD as young Van Hohenhiem and plays Ouri Kagami in SHIKABANE HIME.

I love how this episode ended i kind of wish that Tatum had kept it going for a little longer.
its things like this that make me sad that its only audio.
Terri won (The first arm wrestle anyways) I could tell from Aaron’s tone and how he wants to protect his male testosterone ;P Anywho, another spectacular episode, as always, guys. Thanks for answering my question and saying Happy b-day 🙂 I was wondering which one of you would say something about that Ghostbusters reference I made!
OMG You read my HBO question! I’M SOO HAPPY! Also sorry I got Aaron’s hopes up for Tru Blood XP I’ll make it up to him by joining him on his quest for a boat.
Okay, Tatum, not only have you told your standing-up-to-the-thug-in-the-convenience-store-at-night story a thousand times before, and not only have you told this story *at least once* before on That Anime Show, but dude, you told this story last time Aaron was on. Am I the only one who’s picked up on this?
PS. Terri totally won the last arm wrestling match.
I also thought the interview was cut short, because that meant the episode was about 30 minutes less than what these have usually been going to. It was still entertaining, so it’s not a problem.
As for Tatum telling the same story as on the episode Aaron was on, I didn’t remember that. Then again, I don’t remember many things I hear on this show.
There is no set time per episode. Some are just longer than others.
Yes, some stories have been repeated. Its not the first show that this has happened on. Though the hosts are the same, the guests are different. It happens in real life, why not on That Anime Show?
And the show has never had a set min or max as far as time. Some episode are just shorter than others.
Great show, guys!
All this is true, Jean. Thanks for listening!
Hey I’m sorry I didn’t intent to sound mean – I was just joking, I suppose you can’t tell from just text on a screen! I hope I didn’t hurt any feelings, it was a great show, sorry…
No apologies necessary, Emma! Thank you so much for listening!
Hi, sounds like Aaron Dismuke had a lot of fun to getting into Anime – he obviously is talented and creative especially to start at such a tender age!
