A lifelong comic book, cartoon and videogame fan, Ian got his start doing dub work when he visited Funimation Studios as a college student in 2004 in order to sit in on a friend’s session. The director asked him if he’d like to jump in the booth for a one-liner, which ended up being a small recurring role, and from that moment on, he was hooked. A Dallas native, Ian graduated from TCU with a degree in Theatre and immediately began his career as a stage actor, earning Dallas’ award for Best Local Actor in 2009. He continued at Funimation, gradually working his way up from regular bit-character boy until his big break as Dallas Genoard in Baccano!, a show which he Assistant Directed. Since then he has performed in roles such as Toraji Ishida in Bamboo Blade, Douglas Rosenberg in El Cazador de la Bruja, Sobi Nakajima in Linebarrels of Iron, Haruki in Master of Martial Arts, Kaoru Seo in Sekirei, Shinze Kamiu in Shikabane Hime: Kuro, Romano in Hetalia – Axis Powers, and most recently as Bardroy in Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), on which he also served as Director. Additionally, Ian can be heard in numerous radio/TV spots, and as the voice of Baron Flint in the video game, Borderlands.

(PS–Tatum, I LOVE the sound of your house.)
This interview really hit home with me. Maybe because the descriptions of you two fanning out sounds the dead same as my sister and I fanning out. “Black Butler!?? In a public PLACE!?!” Que the screams.

I remember being at the Ian Sinclair/Nabeshin/Chris Ayres. It was very amazing. Ian was good.

Also, I remember the cheerleader convention at Ohayocon 2010. I heard something bad happened to one of our poor Ohayocon attendees. Still was a good con. I am loving this show.

Listening to this during class, better than the teacher’s blah blah blah XD

I was at Ohayocon 09 and I remember the cheerleaders, it was so damn funny how they were freaking out over it. There was also some church group there that year and they were worst than the cheerleaders.

I hope all goes well with Black Butler, it seems it will. I’ve only watched the dubbed eps on the Funi youtube site and I enjoyed it a lot. I’ve been avoiding the show so far due to friends who kept fangirling over it to the point that I didn’t want to watch it but I’m glad I changed my mind.

    Anyway great show guys.

A friend linked me to this Podcast and insisted I listen for mention of the Isaac and Miria cosplayers from ColossalCon. I was Miria and just want to say I’m flattered you still remember us, Mr. Tatum.
